Dr. Hassan Al-Derham

Dr. Hassan Al-Derham has been appointed as the 6th President of Qatar University (QU) on June 15th, 2015. From June 2007 to June 2015, Dr. Al-Derham served as the Vice President for Research at QU.

Before that he served in several positions at QU including Associate VP for Research and Head of Civil Engineering. Dr. Al-Derham holds a PhD and Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from University of Glamorgan, UK. He has a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, in USA. His Bachelor Degree is in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, USA.

 His research interests includes: construction productivity, project optimization, legal contracts and procurement.
